Update Jan 24 2020

Wow it’s hard to believe I’ve been on WordPress since 2016, four years and I still haven’t completed my book. I have good writing days and then we’ll you know I get distracted, I procrastinated etc. Lol!

One thing s for certain I need to get on my laptop and fulfill my goal of completing and publishing my novel. I love creating the characters and story. I enjoy stepping into their lives briefly. That’s why I always seem to be reading too.

But this year I plan on reading a book on writing each month. I’m also listening to podcasts. I guess I want to get my inspiration and her sister muse creativity awakened. 🙂

Well that’s all for now. I finished my Cocoa ☕ so I’m heading back to bed😴

A Year In Writing.

Hi, its been almost a year since I started this journey.  I finished the novel, The Key In the File, but decided I needed to work on it.  Perhaps some day I’ll pull it out and finish it.

This last November, I participated non NaNoWriMo.  Sad to say I didn’t complete the challenge.  But I have made writing a part of each day.

My goal for this year is to complete the novel I started with NaNoWriMo.  This one is called The Blue Willow Cabin.  Basically it takes place in a small community located on the Illinois River and built in a town called Lake Sonnet.  The characters are the same as in the first book, but I am focusing on the main character.  In the former book, it was on two friends.

I tend to write in the cozy mystery genre, but I want to include the struggles of the characters as well.  I guess I’ll see where this goes.
